aahs! in Brentwood = Hello Kitty Heaven
I had lunch at this really delicious Mongolian BBQ spot in Brentwood on Wednesday with my boss Amul. As we were driving to the parking structure, we happened to pass by aahs!
And I immediately spotted the Hello Kitty signage… Too bad for Amul…
After we ate our lunch, we were walking back to the parking structure… And he somehow knew I didn’t want to go straight back to work. So I said, “Can we go to aahs! because I saw a Hello Kitty sign, pretty please?” or something like that. And he gave in because he is a good boss and knows how happy I get. I was a little upset that he didn’t want to come into the store with me (he went to the news stand) but I guess I can’t drag everyone around to look at cute Hello Kitty things… So the following is a pretty nice set of pictures (some kind of blurry but I still want to post them… I only had 10 minutes to browse too)…
It’s funny how I think this brown hooded tee looks like a super cute and girly skull and crossbones graphic…
Celina Rei got me the tin case shaped in Hello Kitty’s face before! I still have the case, but not the candy that was inside.
Loungefly does some really cute designs for Kitty-chan… I really really want something from them!
These Kitty key caps are too cute! My only complaint is the metal ball chain is really weak and breaks too easily. I already lost a house key (I used to have a Hello Kitty with a piggy outfit on). I am currently on my second key cap (which Joii got me for Christmas) and the chain already broke…
Hello Kitty bliss…
I found out that Sanrio does produce Hello Kitty thermometers… It is to the left underneath the key caps…
Another Loungefly bag… Too cute… Too bad I have too many bags… Can one even have too many bags?
Kuromi = Kawaii…
I love this houndstooth print!
Kitty sports a skull bow!
I love those stamps!
I adore those pretty pink slippers on the second row from the bottom, and to the left…
This mannequin was pretty scary so I had to take a picture…

What is better than a friend who is willing to take pictures and go shopping for Hello Kitty stuff in another country just for you? I can’t really think of anything better either… When Amandabot went home to Taiwan, she did play her part as a Hello Kitty fanatic and scored some cute things for me. She also took some pictures, which you can see on her entry: Eva Hello Kitty airplane(2008-01-18)

It’s becoming a habit for me to spot Hello Kitty related items when I am out with Joy — maybe she is good luck, or something!? I don’t know and I won’t complain. We had a late night trip to Wal-Mart one Saturday night, and this is what we spotted…
My Melody small plushies were so cute…
My Melody large plushie — I wanted this really badly… But it was dirty… And Joy said “NO!”
I could not leave without purchasing something… So I picked up a couple of Bobble Heads.

I’ve been having a very stressful time at my job lately, which is actually one of the reasons I have not been updating this blog as much as I would like to. But there is always something that makes my day a little brighter (besides my co-workers)… and she would have to be Hello Kitty. I left work before the Nijiya market closed and look what I happened to pick up? It’s as if Hello Kitty knew I had a bad day and wanted to cheer me up! I definitely take this as a good sign…

Enough to create an official Hello Kitty plush in the likeness of the heiress herself. Here is an article from a Japanese magazine…

I am not the biggest fan of Paris Hilton, but she can’t be bad if there is a Hello Kitty doll that looks like her… right? She was interviewed at NGTV (the place where I work) a few weekends ago. I was not able to make it, but Joii took some flicks for me.

Yeah… not the best pictures. So here is a clip from that interview, which was to promote her new movie:
