Hello Kitty Exclusives at Urban Outfitters Part 2
I gave in! I was at Urban Outfitters with Banana and I couldn’t resist anymore. I wrote about how I wanted these blind-boxed Hello Kitty vinyl toys previously. I only bought two… I was really hoping for the woodgrain Kitty and ice cream Kitty… Maybe next time…

I wonder if blank Hello Kitty vinyl toys would sell well? Like, Kidrobot sells the plain Munnys. I think I would enjoy designing my own Hello Kitty vinyl toy.

I should have bought a third one… Everyone knows things are better in threes.

Grrr… I am a little bit annoyed because Hello Kitty’s face ends abruptly before it reaches the bow. Isn’t that just a little bit annoying? That was actually the first thing I noticed. Banana said, “Oh, at least you got cute ones!” But I thought, “Hey, what happened to the lines? How come it doesn’t meet the end of the bow? Pleeease — I just paid $8.00!”

Maybe I am just being too picky???

I love Hello Kitty, stencils and my Macbook… So why not make a cute little stencil for my Macbook case?

I went to the Apple store and bought this army green colored Incase canvas case with olive green fur lining on the inside. I modified an existing skeleton drawing of Hello Kitty that I had seen before and made sure it would work as a stencil. I believe this stencil took me a couple of hours to cut out. Anyway, I was very much inspired by the fine folks at Stencil Revolution, which has some great resources for people who are interested in stenciling.

My hand is not that steady, which is why you see some black overspray on her ear and her leg… But it gives it more character and it is more one of a kind. I’ve been meaning to stencil some tee-shirts… I should just get on it.

Hello Kitty Burn :’(
So, last night I was looking for something in my closet and found my pink and white Hello Kitty bag I used to take to work with me… Back in the Marzocchi days. It was kind of dirty so I decided to throw it in the washer. I hang dried it and it was wrinkled so I decided to iron it.

Oh boy! Was that a bad idea! I guess I wasn’t paying close enough attention because I accidentally burned Kitty’s face off…

I am so sorry! Sumimasen Kitty-chan… Please forgive me! I will be more careful next time.

Hello Kitty’s Trip to the Beach
My sister Anna Banana took me to Venice Beach on Saturday to cheer me up. I took along Hello Kitty…

She seriously needs to shave…

Kitty was ready for a swim in the ocean…

Thursday’s Northridge Mall Trip (Hello Kitty Sitings) Part 3
When I was at the mall, I was a little surprised to find that the Sanrio shop moved. I believe it is in a smaller space too. Anyway, here is the entrance of the Sanrio store inside the Northridge Fashion Center.

There is always some type of cute window display that changes with whatever product that store is pushing.

There was a promotion going on, in which if the customer spends at least $25.00, for the low low price of $10.00, you can also get this adorable little Dandelion Kitty to welcome in Spring.

I want this giant Hello Kitty gumball machine… or maybe I can buy a plain giant gumball machine and make some Hello Kitty decals and stick them on?

The Hello Kitty plushies wall… Every Sanrio shop has one…

Hello Kitty dressed up in a panda outfit — Kawaii!

I am not sure what it is, but for some reason, I can tell the difference between Hello Kitty clothing sold inside the Sanrio shops and elsewhere. Like these look different from the ones sold at Target or Wet Seal, for example.

Hello Kitty swimming goggles! I sooooo want these!

Cute key caps — I used to have the piggy one on the top right… But then I lost it…

So after spending at least thirty minutes in that store, I walked away with a cute Hello Kitty pink Easter bunny plushie…

Check out the cute details on her little booty…

And I am happy to say that I got it on sale, and the cashier even gave me the stamps for a sale item (which I guess she is not normally supposed to do)…

I also bought a pen, hi-lighter and two key chains — Hello Kitty is dressed up as a strawberry and on the back, there is a small mirror and Hello Kitty nail clipper… I also bought a Hello Kitty devil tin case filled with hot cinnamon candy from Sidecca…

I didn’t go crazy with the shopping and I am happy to report that I got out of that mall without too much damage to my wallet. Thank goodness!
