So, Amandabot came over on Saturday and we hung out at my place talking, doing our nails, playing Rockband (possibly the best video game ever!) and since Joy was over too… Why not go to Walmart? We had to grab a few things anyways. Joy was looking for some fabric so I ended up eyeing this pink Hello Kitty ribbon…

It was the last one on the shelf so I really wanted it! Amandabot teased me, of course, telling me that it was too expensive for my current salary… But I ended up getting it because she said ok…

Then she came out of nowhere showing me this Hello Kitty kite…

I said I wanted it, because naturally as a Hello Kitty fiend, that is the first thing that comes into your mind. Even if you do not fly kites or have no desire to, you still think, “I want that Hello Kitty thing! I don’t care how much it costs! I don’t care if I will use it or not! I just want it!” Not saying that this kite is ugly, but it is very plain, and I really wouldn’t use it… So what is the use?

But geez! It was only $1!!!

I still didn’t end up with it… It is pretty funny, because I am subscribed to Hello Kitty Hell’s RSS and today’s post is titled Hello Kitty Kite and I guess this kite was a great deal for some mother out there… But her poor son — his mom could have got him the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles kite instead.
One last thing we saw at Walmart. I have seen this bag a few times there now and I do not like it, at all. Is it even cute? I think it’s the cheap material that is making me dislike it so much… I just don’t know what to think…

I saw your response on Hello Kitty Hell. For being such an HK fan, at least you are in the right frame of mind to never impose HK on a male child. Kudos!
And ya… that My Melody bag, I’m on the fence. I want to like it but its so… yeech. They had similar Hello Kitty ones at Claire’s (in Canada at least) and I just couldn’t fathom paying $18 for something that looked so cheap and didn’t zip shut or anything. Good call passing on that one.
Even as fans of everything cute, we do have to learn to draw the line somewhere… That is kinda reasonable, right?
I got that kite and flew it on easter!
Every time I am in wal-mart I see that My Melody bag and I want to get it!
Also I seen a hello kitty bag just like it in claires a couple of months ago!
I really gotta check out Claire’s when I have my next trp to the mall…
