I posted earlier in Cute Cute Cute! Sanrio DIY Crafts about how I was going to start cross-stitching soon. Well, I started! But before I even put thread through the needle, I got organized — the kittirific way. I bought an inexpensive clear sewing organizer. I got out my Hello Kitty activity and coloring books and my Sharpie markers. I wasn’t completely sure if the markers were going to stay on the plastic, but it worked for me (a little scratches here and there… I try to be a lot more careful now). All I did was put the a page from the coloring book under the top and traced the image. Where I messed up, I just added some lashes, thickened the strokes… You get the idea…

It felt a little empty with just Hello Kitty so…

I added Tim and Tammy, Hello Kitty’s little monkey friends to keep her company…

And a little cupcake… I think it came out ok. I like it better than the plain organizer it was before… And it gives me another thing I can post up here. It’s a fun little simple project for anyone who wants to kittify something without having to commit too much time (or money).

Here is my progress of the Sanrio Rainbow x-stitch pattern I started… Oh boy! Do I have a long way to go!
