I really cannot get enough of Happy Six. It is totally kawaii overload in that shop. I love the “Save Our ANIMALS” shirt Amandabot is holding up (made by Public Library). I have a plushie of the Hello Kitty dressed up as a lion!

I saw this tokidoki shirt as we were walking out of the store… Everything tokidoki has been creating is super-kawaii since day one! This is Donuttella (Simone Legno’s characters also have the cutest names):

Same case turned around. I did not really like this too much. This pink and brown design is a new series of bags and luggages so there is more… Maybe it has to grow on me? Anyway, I don’t think I like the star in her other ear either.

Not as much Hello Kitty as you can find in your Sanrio shop, but enough to keep me coming back, just in case.

The store is in LA — Sawtelle and Olympic — very close to the 405 and 10. You should check it out if you are ever in the area.

I got a really good job in Japan as of last week. I am sooooo happy!
Sanrio Land here I come! Let you know how Japan compares with Taiwan. I lived in Taiwan for eight years! One year in China and just got done with one year in Korea. Taiwan leaves China and Korea in the dust when it comes to Hello Kitty stores. The other thing is that Japanese stuff is much, much cheaper thant the exact same stuff in Japan! I kid you not. Also if you are into anime type toys, the Taiwanese are much more flexible than the Japanese. Taiwanese will open up the bubble gum machines that sell you such toys and sell you the whole set for a discount, usually one toy for free of the set. Japanese won’t do this and trying to get a whole set from a bubblegum machine can take forever and some serious change!
Im so jealous its so hard to find hello kitty stuff down here.
