The HKJ Thing Is Contagious

May 13th, 2009 by hellokittyjunkie

This blog post is about Josh (Jenna’s man)…

I am pretty sure Josh thought Jenna was a bit crazy with her love for Hello Kitty… That is, until he saw Jenna and her Hello Kitty Junkies, including myself, actually meet up at Sanrio Little Tokyo, participate in the *All you stuff in a bag for $20* and do a mini gift exchange where he saw some of us get super excited over some small Hello Kitty trinket! But I tell ya, peer pressure in the Hello Kitty circle can be very strong (even if you are a dude).

Right after the LA Meet-Up, Jenna left me this comment on my HKJ’s profile (I had commented before how Josh now knows that she is not the only crazy one! But hopefully he will still let us be friends),

Oh are you kidding, Josh would never stop me from being friends, he couldnt even if he tried. HEE. He thinks I’m nuts about HK but I think he enjoys seeing just how crazy I can be about it, lol. He insisted on going yesterday cause he wanted to see the hkj’s and understand it all a little more…

We stopped by Sawtelle, I made him. He actually bought a HK pin with a samurai sword and HK ziploc bags for some of his tools. This is the first time buying anything HK that wasn’t for me so even he was surprised. He said, the HKJ thing is contagious…

It has been about one month since the LA Meet-Up and Jenna leaves me this comment on my profile,

Last night when I was on HKJ’s and reading your comment, “buy the apron.” Josh was next to me kinda checking out HKJ’s too. He inquired about the apron, so I showed him your pic and he saw a bit of the I love HK stuff. I joked about wanting to place HK up everywhere.

Today after school I came home and he had the apron and salt and pepper shakers for me. Yeah, yeah yeah! He joked and said he bought those because I wear the apron so its not going to be displayed around our place and that he can handle the salt and pepper shakers since they are small and are now my own personal shakers since he will only use the regular ones but there is no way I’m making his throne, the (bathroom) all HK since its already, as he puts it, “It’s like HK lives here.” LOL. We will just have to see about that hee.

It’s funny whenever his friends see me they say hi miss kitty and the other day his friend said he’s waiting for Josh to come over wearing an HK shirt. Drives him crazy…

Isn’t it funny how much influence Hello Kitty fanatics hold on their loved ones?
