HKJs Craft Meet-Up: Hello Kitty Sandwich Felt Toy

Jodan and I have been planning an HKJs Craft Meet-Up and it really seemed like we planned it yesterday… But time sure does creep up on you! This is scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2009 in the Valley area… I am looking forward to seeing some of my Junkie friends!

Here is a prototype for the craft we will make… I am a little skeptical that we will be able to finish the entire felt toy on Sunday, but we should be able to get through half? o_O I will upload the pattern to Kitty Krafters once I am finished writing out the instructions, which I’m finding is very difficult and tedious!

aww it looks so cute!!! the valley is farrr from where i'm at, so i'm sad to say i can't make it =[
i hope you post a pattern though..so maybe us junkies who can't make the trip can still get in on some fun a little :)

hey maria, i have been reading your blog forever and have never commented but here goes.

i work in new york city, a mere blocks from sanrio luxe. i try to stop in at least once a month (any more than that and i would be bankrupt) and touch all of the new hello kitty goodies (btw the new tokidoki x hello kitty is in store now). the funny thing is that i never really talk to anyone in there, it's like my quiet time sanctuary in there where i pay homage to all that is kitty-chan.

friday night was mostly little girls, tourists, and well me and others like me...the adults that are hoarders of hello kitty. it was super crowded. lots of french tourists and tourists in general milling around. i could hear two of the salesgirls talking about their collections and it made me so excited. you would think that most of the people that work at luxe are also HK fans, sad to report that they are not. i ended up having a conversation with not one but two salesgirls about HK and both mentioned you. i was shocked that these nice salesgirls from luxe read the same blog i did and spoke so highly of you.

just wanted to let you know that you have a fanclub at luxe, the two girls i spoke to were by far the nicest i've encountered in my years of going into that location. i can only hope their infectious love of kitty chan rubs off a bit on their coworkers.
