ANIME EXPO® 2009… Where do I start?
LOS ANGELES, CA – July 5, 2009 – Once again, Anime Expo® dominates all other anime and manga conventions and holds the title of nation’s largest anime and manga event with over 44,000 unique attendees flowing into the halls of the Los Angeles Convention Center to attend the nation’s largest anime and manga convention, Anime Expo® 2009, from July 2 – July 5, 2009 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
With that many attendees, one can expect to see some Hello Kitty stuff… After all, I did see a lot of Hello Kitty Stuff at the Anime Expo last year.
This year, I experienced the event for two days; one is not enough! Here are some interesting Hello Kitty cosplay that I saw:
She actually made her very own Hello Kitty plushie head! Must have taken a lot of time…
I really like the next costume because anyone can do this. The Kitty ears and red bow look less time-consuming than a giant plushie Kitty-chan head or the whole costume from head-to-toe… But it is still kawaii and captures the essence of Kitty-chan… ^_^
We also spotted the Hello Kitty that you might catch at your local Sanrio shops during her visits at the Neotype Station booth (I got a photo with her but it must be on Belle’s camera)…
And Jordan spotted Kuromi and we were able to take a photo with her! ^_^ She said most people did not know who Kuromi was!? Obviously not a Sanrio convention! o_O
After a couple of days filled with so much kawaii commotion, I feel like I want to dress up one year — maybe even as a Hello Kitty Pullip doll! I have more photos to post… Various Hello Kitty sightings, more cosplay… And kittilicious things I took home with me: kawaii charms and plushies and some toilet paper… Stay tuned! ^_^
