I really did enjoy this year’s Anime Expo and am looking forward to next year’s! There were over 43,000 unique attendees (no wonder it was so crowded)! I enjoyed pretty much everything: people watching, photographing awesome cosplayers, AX Idol (yes, it is exactly as it sounds), seeing my fellow Hello Kitty Junkies… And of course, walking around the exhibit hall in search of Hello Kitty goodies!
I attended the AX Idol this year and oh geez! Everyone who performed a song or did a voice-over to an anime clip was very talented! My favorite contestant was Jane Estantino:
Unfortunately, she did not win… 
Although I did not spot as many Hello Kitty items as last year, for some reason, I had more fun this time! It could be because I got to share the experience with my Hello Kitty Junkies friends — Bellerina and *her man* (not sure if he wants to be associated with us, lol), Jordan, HKGuy, Jenna and Josh… Talia and hubby (even though we did not get to meet x_x)… Or maybe because I ran into Jennifer… Or had a run-in with Sam…
All I know is, I am the type of person who loves conventions, or a large gathering of like-minded passionate people, and I must say — Anime Expo is at the top of my list right now! Yes, even above Comic-Con since Anime Expo is held in Los Angeles as opposed to San Diego (the drive kills me)…
