In September, I was informed that I would be getting a physical invitation to Hello Kitty’s Three Apples kick off for Thursday, October 22, 2009. *Thank you Dyann!!!* I was in awe! I mean, meee!? I get to check out Kitty-chan’s exhibit before the general public!? o_O Needless to say, I felt very special when it actually arrived at my house! My invitation came in a red sparkly envelope with a special Three Apples stamp! *_*
The actual card is super kawaii! The front has a 3d paper craft Hello Kitty that you can make… But there is NO WAY I will cut up my invitation! o_O
So… Let me just say that I had no idea it was going to be a celeb-ed out VIP soiree! I only knew it was an exclusive event when Lauren (one of the girls I work with) asked me if I was going to the red carpet Hello Kitty party! Knowing that made me even more excited to attend that night! I went with a couple of Hello Kitty Junkies and definitely made sure I was early (I am usually late-ish to everything)… These photos are especially for my Hello Kitty crazy friends out of state (TX, FL, PA, NY, etc.) and out of country (France, Philippines, Singapore, etc.) who could not be here! @_@
Got to Royal T before 7pm…
I made a full round before I really started taking photos. Ended up outside where I got to see the Hello Kitty Airstream designed by Cynthia Rowley! Remember this from Kitty-chan’s 30th Anniversary!? @_@

Yes, I met “Kitty Mama,” aka Yuko Yamaguchi! I bet she has the best job ever! She has been the head designer of Hello Kitty for decades… That is crazy!!!
Buff Monster!!! He is such a cool dude and totally nice! Extremely popular and talented too — his painting and panels went fast!
Bellerina and I are crazy about tokidoki! Anything SImone does is always kawaii!!! @_@

I was so happy to see fellow Junkie Grace, who flew in from the bay area just for the party! @_@ I was definitely *jelly* because her bow was waaay bigger than mine and she was wearing the apron I am currently lusting after from the Kitty and Mimmy Silhouette line! Waaaaa! n_~
Remember when Carrie was looking at the penthouse with Big and said, “Hello! I live here!” (Sex and The City movie)? That is EXACTLY what I said in my head (but there were people around so I was trying to be as normal as possible). My dreams came true when I got to enter Kitty-chan’s apartment!
This is the purrr-fect place to do some work… Or would I be too distracted with the kawaii overload!?

I was interviewed by the super awesome Cyan for MIMOBOT! Too bad I do not interview well… But I still hope they are able to use something from me!
During the party, I met and saw a lot of awesome peeps… Mary from Gente California (domo arigato for my super kawaii Yoshikitty charm)! Emily from Orsi PR! Alec and Scott from MIMOBOT! Sheena from Razor! My fellow Hello Kitty Junkies — Anjh, Bellerina, Christian, Grace, Jenna, Sheena, etc. All the awesome Sanrio (Super Jill, Super Dave, Susan…) and JapanLA (Jamie, Vance, Lindsay…) Peeps! Everybody was extremely kind! I was definitely overwhelmed… So much excitement that it was difficult for me to fall asleep when I got home… But in the end, my heart was happy! Thank you to everybody who was involved in putting this together — abso-kitty-lutely brilliant! *_*

Words can not describe how jealous i am. I think if Paris Hilton and Kimora weren't there the lines would have been better. I have been hearing from people there was a 4 hour wait at some times!

If u make a color copy of the card, u can make the 3D paper craft Hello Kitty using the copy.
