Domo arigato to all the Hello Kitty Junkies who came out to the HKJs Craft Meet-Up! And a super special thanks to *Jordan* for organizing the event! She did an AWESOME JOB — so awesome that I am officially putting her in charge of organizing any future craft meet-ups! n_~
*True story* I arrived at the parking lot near the Japanese American National Museum just as Jordan and Cynthia did… And it was also the exact same time that my super a-maaa-zing Creative Director boss, Joel, and his beautiful family arrived! I was kinda embarrassed… I mean, people I know in real life KNOW about my addiction/infatuation/obsession, but rarely do they SEE it in person! O_O I guess I cannot hide my true self anymore! As any Junkie would do, I invited Joel and his beautiful fam to come stop by the craft meet-up… And they did! Since baby Chloe is not even two yet, she could not really join the crafting fun. o_O But I think she liked the lollipop I gave her… What baby doesn’t like candy? n_n
Anyway, Joel told everyone during the Monday morning meeting about my Hello Kitty meet-up… Which means I am a validated Hello Kitty Junkie… =n_n=
Here are some photos from the event:
Amber takes her time to choose the perfect stationery for her Valentines…
Sarah and Liz get creative with their crafts…
Dorothy, Bellerina (rockin’ my hoodie) and Jordan…
*I stole Jewelyn’s photo* because she is so kawaii and you can see my D-Mop x Kitty Lab outfit I got from Taipei! @____@
Chelsea picked out my gift during the gift exchange, which was a Hello Kitty ocarina! She played “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” so well that I requested Lady GaGa!
Carla lucked out by choosing this cuuute cupcake Hello Kitty plushie! Remember this from Target last year? I think it was available around this time of year… Yes, I was *jelly*
This is what I got from the gift exchange — thanks to HKGuy!
Ana (wish I had her kawaii dimples) and Christina (wish I could dye my hair that color) had fun! *Smiles* don’t lie!
Monica won a super kawaii plushie from the raffle! Ahhhh!!! I was so *jelly* @____@
Hello Kitty Junkies get their craft on!
My Valentines… Who will I give them to!?
Isn’t Amber’s Valentine so cuuute!?
Toki-chan got creative with some origami skills!
Another Toki-chan creation…
I am *totally* stealing this idea! n_n
So much cuteness!
We did manage to get a partial group shot before we headed out to my *fave* Sanrio shop… I made a quick stop to pick up a new *Gotochi Hello Kitty* book from Kinokuniya @____@ before I headed on over to JapanLA… And then lastly to Lala’s Argentine Grill! ;P Hopefully we can meet up again soon!
Check out all of my photos from this event! n_n
