Fashion designer Elizabeth Arnau has been commissioned to pay tribute to the victims of the Japanese Tsunami at Charity Fashion Night. An event held in Elephant Barcelona which raised funds for the Japan Red Cross.
Elizabeth Arnau, always characterized by a clear Japanese influence in their collections, and having presented her latest collection “Sun in the Night” on New York Fashion Week Haute Couture, designed especially for the event a Japanese bracelets and a special tote bags with proceeds going to Japan relief efforts.
The Sanrio Foundation collaboration was essential who donated bags and many Sanrio items for auction and also showed on runway their bags Collection from Camomilla for Hello Kitty together with Elizabeth Arnau dresses which made a perfect match.
Sanrio Foundation was created in October 2010 with the mission of bring smiles and help to children in hospitals around the world. In the more underprivileged countries, Sanrio Foundation supports the hospitals themselves by donating the primary necessities and essential products. The image of Sanrio’s characters is also given free to the hospitals to decorate children’s rooms and spaces or producing social purpose products. Anything to make children’s stay at the hospital less painful.
The night was marked by the Japanese theme, beginning with a concert by the canary artist Ángeles Domínguez who dedicated a song entitled “with love” for Japan to introduce the charity fashion show of Elizabeth Arnau combined with the cute bags from Camomilla for Hello Kitty.
Also they had the support of the models from Francina and the experience of Bobbi Brown Make up artists. In addition, it was a traditional calligraphy workshops and sale of Rieko Uekama’s paintings.
More collaborators who supported the event: Neomoda, Barcelona deluxe Magazine, NAF Perruquers, Yoko Yamazaki, Golf Wear, Pura López, ICM, Epro, Elephant and Marc Sansalvador Chalaux (Notary of the draw, revenue and income to the Japanese Red Cross Society).
