As soon I saw the collectible figures from the tokidoki x Sanrio Characters Holiday 2013 Collection, I knew these were MUST-HAVE items in my kittilicious collection!
This collection features 12 different designs… Each figure is about 3in tall and features kawaii design elements from both the tokidoki and Sanrio brands! Also comes in very kawaii packaging — cute for display because these are not blind-boxed… However, these figures are über cute and recommended to be displayed out of the box (I know it gets dusty but the figures are just a little too cute to stay inside the box — hope you agree when you scroll through the pix).
Initially, there were only several that I wanted for my collection… But the more I inspected these figures and looked at all the artwork around them… I decided all of them needed to be adopted by me! And just so you know, you cannot tell how cute these really are unless you take them out of the box for a full 360 view! ^_^
I guess my love for wanting to collect Hello Kitty figures started when I got my very first Hello Kitty vinyl figure from Urban Outfitters!
These cuties are similar in size — but the molds to make them are different. If you look closely, you can notice the difference in the bows and the Urban Outfitters version has embossed/debossed eyes, nose and whiskers.
They are all too adorable!
Here is more detail of the Cactus Friends x Hello Kitty… Kitty-chan is so cute in her cactus suit, isn’t she? Her red bow has the Adios face detail! There are some tokidoki candies featured on this design. And one of Simone Legno’s fave characters — Bastardino is also placed on the front of this figure.
I always love tokidoki’s heart and cross bones logo — so genius!
And tokidoki’s hamburger looks quite silly with the bunny ears, doesn’t it? n_~
Here is Kaiju x Hello Kitty! Kawaii, neh? Kitty is dressed up as a purple Kaiju. This is very tokidoki-fied with the pop colors and the Adios star and yellow flash on the front.
The back showcases Kaiju’s triangles down his spine (what is this called?) and scales… And a cute tokidoki cloud!
Here is Sprinklette x Hello Kitty! The Sprinklettes are the sweet flowers from tokidoki’s Donutella & Her Sweet Friends.
The back features some fun tokidoki characters — the smiling sun and the tulip with legs!
Here is Moofia x Badtz-Maru! Yup, Bad Badtz-Maru is dressed up in a Moofia outfit… Adios star and Mou Mou are also placed on the front.
The color palettes on Kiki and Lala are super adorable! And the back design elements are super cute on Lala — Rondine, the blue bird that tokidoki fans love to get inked… partially eaten donut, happy cloud sprinkling sprinkles and Cactus Pup, Timidina.
Here is Tuxedosam…
Simone’s famous diamantes (diamonds) and placed on the back as well as the sweet Donutino!
One of the loveliest collectible figure is Donutella x Purin! Pom Pom Purin is a pudding dog and that makes perfect sense to mash this figure up with Donutella! Bastardino is placed on the front with the sugar cubes from the Donutella & Her Sweet Friends group of characters.
Pom Pom Purin has a friend going for the donut on the back!
The ears look so cute from these 3/4 views…
Mmmm… chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles! So kittilicious! n___n
Here are My Melody and Kuromi! My Mel has a Cactus hoodie on… She also has the heart and cross bones logo and tulip on the front. It looks like Kuromi is mashed up with a bit of SANDy from the Cactus Friends — the hair, cheek and sparkles in the eyes — subtle and kawaii! The mad diamante and a musical note symbol is featured on the front too.
How cute is My Melody’s sprinkled donut around her tail? n_n
The funniest collectible figure has to be Donutella x Hangyodon! It is impossible not to smile when you look at this one! ^_^
It’s a creative mix of cute and silly… Isn’t it?
Here is Cactus Friend x Cinnamoroll. Cinnamoroll is always a cutie — especially in this cactus suit! And the Unicorno on the front adds a bit of extra cuteness to make this extra sweet!
tokidoki cloud is so cute! And so is Cinnamoroll’s swirly tail! <3
This is for sure my army of cuteness… The 2013 version.
Here are the Cactus Friends mashed up with Sanrio characters…
It’s really fun how the designs flow throughout the collection. I like how the tulips are featured on a couple of figures.
Here are Donutella & Her Sweet Friends integrated onto the Hello Kitty collectible figures…
As you can see, the sweets theme made it across a bunch of the Sanrio cuties!
*Sigh* Really lucky to have these adorable figures in my kawaii collection!
