Hello Kitty Goodies From The PI Part 5

I have noticed that there are a few different kinds of collectors out there. Some people buy Sanrio products and leave them in their package and display them in a case. And then, there are others who love to open everything up and start using them. I am somewhere in between, but I definitely lean more towards the end of opening everything and using them… Some things that have already started down that path…

I got this pink and black Hello Kitty Batgirl plushie to add to my plush doll collection:

It was a steal at 150 PHP, which is a little over $3 USD.

Oopsie! The Gift Gate workers forgot to take off the security device!

Hello Kitty purse I bought at Gift Gate in TriNoma on the first day… People were telling me stories of how their friends have gotten their bags snatched and they wanted me to hold onto my Kitty credit card so I could buy all the Kitty things I could possibly want!

Charmmy Kitty digital camera case — Not the biggest fan of Charmmy Kitty (Hello Kitty’s pet) but it was pink, frilly and on sale!

New home for my eye glasses… I have no clue how I already dented the right side…

And scratched up the back and the sides. Usually, I am pretty careful with my things too…

Hello Kitty lanyard for my keys when I am out and about without a bag. I latched my iPhone on here and it holds, but it gets too heavy for my neck after a while…

Hello Kitty jewelry holder for my small earrings…

I always get excited when I see the combination of Hello Kitty and Japanese/Chinese characters! I do not know how to read… And I have not shown it to my Mom yet, so I have no translation as of right now. This is the tag of the navy blue track jacket I got…

Finally… Hello Kitty Sightings at H&M

I remember going to H&M with Joy and looking for Hello Kitty anything — shirt, socks, jewelry, lotion… With no luck! But I decided to try again because I kept reading about people finding Hello Kitty things for their kids in their local H&M. Well, here is what I spotted in the H&M (upstairs in the girls section) at the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center…

I was happy to see all this kittyness… But also a bit sad… I love this dress — but I have nobody to buy it for! And I know it is premature for me to buy clothing for my future daughter (I mean, I do not even have a boyfriend… Still!) I wish they made it in my size!

The only things I was able to pick up were some patches and hair things.

Kawaii undies! Hello Kitty has the big DJ headphones on — so cute!

I really like this too and I would rock it fasho!

All in all, I was not too impressed with the Hello Kitty stuff here. Yes, there are some very cute things and the price is reasonable… But I have mixed emotions for H&M (kind of like how I feel about Victoria Couture) — do not love it but do not hate it. Hopefully, H&M in the states will start to carry Hello Kitty products they sell in their European market…

On another note, I spotted a McCafe, which must be fairly new, near Neiman Marcus, which is also pretty new. I walked through the fine jewelry section but did not spot anything from the Kimore Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty line.

My Favorite Sanrio Shop…

Maybe not my absolute favorite, since I want to go to Japan one day (sooner than later)… But for now, I do not have any problems calling the Sanrio inside the South Coast Plaza my favorite Sanrio shop in the SoCal area. Go there once and you are very likely to fall in love with that particular shop for a few reasons…

I simply went in there to get something for JamyKitty (my November swap partner on Flickr’s Hello Kitty Addicts)… And then I came across the Panda Kitty bobble head… Which I am happy to say is added to My Kitty Bobble Crew.

And I saw this and picked it up immediately! I love pandas because they are just too cute not to love. And one time, when I was in college, this cute boy told me I reminded him of a panda!

And since Halloween is coming around the corner… Why not?

They carry a lot of different lines — I saw a section of all Japanese imported goodies, there is a case filled with Tarina Tarantino jewelry, you can order Hello Kitty furniture (yeah, I did not know this was available in the states!), I spotted some rare Momoberry pieces, all the new exclusive stuff on Sanrio’s site (some stores carry a few things from the new lines), there are clothing and shoes… They were just very well stocked with a large variety of merch! That is good because you have choices! And bad because you end up spending more money than you initially anticipated. Well… I controlled a lot of self control… I do not plan on going back to this Sanrio until I know I can spend a lot of cash! It is just way too tempting! ^_^

Gift Gate at Greenhills

Other sightings from yet another Gift Gate… This time, I had Marky (one of Brian’s younger brothers — my age) helping me decide which items to get. There was this one Hello Kitty kewpie doll I REALLY wanted — it was even in my shopping basket… I don’t think I decided NOT to get it… But that’s what he said. And my bad — because I didn’t even take a picture of it! It looks like the My Melody and Keroppi kewpie dolls, except for the kewpie doll is dressed like Kitty-chan… I was actually kind of bummed…
