Hot Topic and Sidecca… So Kittilicious!

Why, oh why are there too many cute things at these stores!? LL.Kitty wrote a cute blog post titled japanLA will be the death of me… And I was thinking exactly the same thing, except more like Hello Kitty will be the death of us ALL who adore this kawaii Kitty-chan! Not literally, of course! Nobody can ever die of cute overload. o_O

There is no Sanrio shop inside the Burbank Town Center… But that does not mean there are no Hello Kitty things to be found! In fact, there were quite a few things inside the Hot Topic and Sidecca!

Kuromi is getting pretty popular and Hot Topic carries a lot of new Kuromi gear!

Sidecca is such a fun and trendy store! Sometime, I feel too old to shop in there… But they might be my favorite carriers of Hello Kitty x Loungefly products (very very close tie between Sidecca and Happy Six). And I cannot forget about the variety of Hello Kitty clothing they always have in stock.

I always notice the small little special details that Loungefly designs into the merch, like the interior of this coin purse — so cute!

I really like this Mt.Fuji wallet (maybe even love), from the cool tag that is attached… To the colors chosen for this wallet and the appliques and stitching…

To the awesomeness of the print on the inside… I just might have to have this!

Joy spotted this brown apple wallet for sale near the back of the store…

From $29 to $19 USD… Not too bad… But I am still unsure about the colors…

I love the inside — the dark denim and cyan color combo is great! I am not a big fan of brown so that’s probably why I am not in love with the outside design.

Sidecca and Hot Topic always have the cute Hello Kitty shirts. I seem to be drawn more to the DOE designs (which I cannot find an official site for). o_O

I have enough tote bags, but if I could have just one more, it must be the Mt.Fuji one!

Not sure why I was surprised to find some tokidoki x Hello Kitty pouches at Sidecca. I mean, they do carry Hello Kitty and tokidoki clothing, so it seems only natural that the collaboration between the two would be available as well. But this was my first time to see it inside the store… Either that, or I have been missing it all this time, which is pretty unlikely…

tokidoki For Hello Kitty 2009

My second treat I found in Chinatown is…

Some of you may know that there have been some talk about tokidoki For Hello Kitty coming out with more merch. Will it be another run of the first limited series? Will it be all new designs? What will the designs look like? When will it come out?

I am happy to say that I saw some super kawaii artwork yesterday and here are two hints:

1. Donuttella
2. Mozzarella

I only saw a one sheet of vector artwork, no actual products and I was not allowed to photograph. But I do not doubt Simone Legno for one second! Like I said before, Simone can do no wrong. The word is, it will be available in a couple of weeks so save some money and keep your ears open… This collection will be crazy cute fasho!

Finally… Hello Kitty Sightings at H&M

I remember going to H&M with Joy and looking for Hello Kitty anything — shirt, socks, jewelry, lotion… With no luck! But I decided to try again because I kept reading about people finding Hello Kitty things for their kids in their local H&M. Well, here is what I spotted in the H&M (upstairs in the girls section) at the Westfield Topanga Shopping Center…

I was happy to see all this kittyness… But also a bit sad… I love this dress — but I have nobody to buy it for! And I know it is premature for me to buy clothing for my future daughter (I mean, I do not even have a boyfriend… Still!) I wish they made it in my size!

The only things I was able to pick up were some patches and hair things.

Kawaii undies! Hello Kitty has the big DJ headphones on — so cute!

I really like this too and I would rock it fasho!

All in all, I was not too impressed with the Hello Kitty stuff here. Yes, there are some very cute things and the price is reasonable… But I have mixed emotions for H&M (kind of like how I feel about Victoria Couture) — do not love it but do not hate it. Hopefully, H&M in the states will start to carry Hello Kitty products they sell in their European market…

On another note, I spotted a McCafe, which must be fairly new, near Neiman Marcus, which is also pretty new. I walked through the fine jewelry section but did not spot anything from the Kimore Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty line.

New Hello Kitty x Loungefly Merch

One of the MANY reasons you should join Hello Kitty Junkies (if you have not already) is people share the latest news on the forums! Tonya “the lil pink princess kitty” started a discussion titled, “Calling all Loungefly and Hello Kitty fans…” and I found out that Loungefly does indeed have some new merch available! I am diggn’ the Mt. Fuji design… I cannot wait to see the new stuff in person!

Things From Mom… tokidoki x Hello Kitty

I LOVE MY MOM!

tokidoki x Hello Kitty is my favorite series in the Hello Kitty line of goods right now. I am still lusting for the small purse (been lusting over this design since February) but anything from this collection is delightful. I really love Simone Legno’s design style — love the theme, color choices, kawaii details, characters, quality… I don’t know what else to say, except that he designs and illustrates with total and utter cuteness!

The tag is so cute — it went into my notebook for cutespiration - TM (a term made up by Joy and she wants to make sure she gets credit)…

Simone adds so many cute little details, but not too many that it takes away from the design. It is just perfectly kawaii!
