My Hello Kitty Parcel From Helene
Guess what I got in the mail from Helene? She already told me about the Hello Kitty Heroine trinket she got me…
But when I got a panda Kitty plushie, I was super happy! Kawaii!
She threw in some Hello Kitty and flower hair things (I think they are from H&M?)…
And some keyboard stickers… I’m not sure if I will put them on my MacBook…
I ate this cookie as soon as took this picture and it delicious!
You can never go wrong with the color pink, kimono or anything Japanese and Kitty-chan!
This is the best Halloween card I have ever received!
I was happily surprised to see a pop up when I opened it…
Helene also included this Friends Diary booklet where you have your friends fill out a couple of pages. It was really fun to do and I decorated my page with stickers! My friends and I actually had something very similar to this when I was in Jr. High… Yes, a very long time ago. Filling this out brought back happy memories.
Thank you Helene!

Back in the day when I was in school, I used to take extra units if I was able to so I could squeeze in some extra Art classes. One of my favorite classes was an Intro to 3D class taught by one of my all-time favorite professors Robert Walker (I studied Art History with him too… And I don’t think I fell asleep much when he taught compared to the lady).
One of the many things I loved about this teacher was he let me do whatever I wanted… And just helped me create the best thing I could at the time. He even taught me it was okay to create artwork that dealt with youthful themes, which can often be looked upon as childish or juvenile (adjectives I do not really like when discussing my work). What he told me was something like, “there is nothing wrong with exploring themes dealing with childhood, innocence and nostalgia.” And that is pretty much the story of my life!
Anyway… Here is a scanned image from my scrapbook:
The project had to do with taking something from your childhood and either making it bigger or shrinking it down. I chose to make my tiny Hello Kitty eraser bigger. As you can see, I had some issues with proportions…
My Mom laughed when I was working on this… She said big Kitty-chan definitely needed to go on a diet!
Just wanted to share. I love seeing other people’s Hello Kitty inspired projects — so if you have any, share! ^_^

I meant to post these over the weekend. I actually have three things I received in the mail last week that I need to post, but I only have photos of two. The first is a letter from my new pen pal Jackie! All the Hello Kitty Junkies I meet are pretty awesome (as you can see by the cute letter she sent me along with the Maki-e design stickers)… And she has beautiful handwriting (just like Lisa)… If anyone is looking for a kittitastic pen pal, check out the discussions dealing with pen pals on the Junkies’ Forum.
The second thing I got last week from the mail man woman was the latest issue of the Strawberry Newsletter, which I ordered through ayamall…
Filed under Hello Kitty All-Around, Hello Kitty Stationery | Comments (2)Hot Topic and Sidecca… So Kittilicious!
Why, oh why are there too many cute things at these stores!? LL.Kitty wrote a cute blog post titled japanLA will be the death of me… And I was thinking exactly the same thing, except more like Hello Kitty will be the death of us ALL who adore this kawaii Kitty-chan! Not literally, of course! Nobody can ever die of cute overload. o_O
There is no Sanrio shop inside the Burbank Town Center… But that does not mean there are no Hello Kitty things to be found! In fact, there were quite a few things inside the Hot Topic and Sidecca!
Kuromi is getting pretty popular and Hot Topic carries a lot of new Kuromi gear!
Sidecca is such a fun and trendy store! Sometime, I feel too old to shop in there… But they might be my favorite carriers of Hello Kitty x Loungefly products (very very close tie between Sidecca and Happy Six). And I cannot forget about the variety of Hello Kitty clothing they always have in stock.
I always notice the small little special details that Loungefly designs into the merch, like the interior of this coin purse — so cute!
I really like this Mt.Fuji wallet (maybe even love), from the cool tag that is attached… To the colors chosen for this wallet and the appliques and stitching…
To the awesomeness of the print on the inside… I just might have to have this!
Joy spotted this brown apple wallet for sale near the back of the store…
From $29 to $19 USD… Not too bad… But I am still unsure about the colors…
I love the inside — the dark denim and cyan color combo is great! I am not a big fan of brown so that’s probably why I am not in love with the outside design.
Sidecca and Hot Topic always have the cute Hello Kitty shirts. I seem to be drawn more to the DOE designs (which I cannot find an official site for). o_O
I have enough tote bags, but if I could have just one more, it must be the Mt.Fuji one!
Not sure why I was surprised to find some tokidoki x Hello Kitty pouches at Sidecca. I mean, they do carry Hello Kitty and tokidoki clothing, so it seems only natural that the collaboration between the two would be available as well. But this was my first time to see it inside the store… Either that, or I have been missing it all this time, which is pretty unlikely…
Filed under Hello Kitty Bags, Hello Kitty Collabos, Hello Kitty Sightings | Comments (3)Kitty Sightings at Kohl’s and Ross
Kohl’s recently opened up a new store right by my place, which is both a good and a bad thing. After Letti sent me some pics on her phone of a Hello Kitty Butterfly Doll Pillow, I decided to stroll through the store to check out the deals… Spotted some Hello Kitty ornaments, I especially like this one…
I went to Ross in Burbank with Joy over the weekend, which to my surprise, carries more Hello Kitty stuff than the one closest to my house! I saw this Hello Kitty Light Up Dream House for $9.99 USD… I held onto it but decided I did not NEED it! Even if it does light up…
I thought this was pretty cute too… And a couple bucks cheaper…
This Candy Store looks like and earthquake hit it! lol…
In the end, I took home this Hello Kitty Candy Store priced at $7.99 USD and a small plastic plate and cup set for $2.99 USD (not pictured)! I will take photos and post later! ^_^
