Hey Junkies! There has been a major lack of updates on here — due to my broken MacBook. T___T But it is finally fixed! ^___^
If you follow Hello Kitty on FB, you may already know about the Hello Kitty and Onch Movement collaboration that will launch this week. Yup, just in time for the Holidays! The jewelry collection will be available on Sanrio.com starting on Wednesday, November 20th.
For my fellow LA-area Junkies, there is a launch party and trunk show happening at JapanLA (7320 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046) on Saturday, November 23rd! The event will take place from 7 – 10 pm. Both Hello Kitty and Onch Movement will be there! And the jewelry capsule collection will be on display and available for purchase! ^___^
Here is the e-vite:
The official details outlining everything a Junkie must know:
and jewelry designer Onch Movement are collaborating again – just in time for the Holiday gift-giving season! The limited edition Onch Movement for Hello Kitty
jewelry collection will be available exclusively at Sanrio.com
starting November 20. The launch party and trunk show at JapanLA on Saturday, November 23, will give fans of both brands the opportunity to preview and try on the collection. A super limited number of pieces will be available for purchase at the launch party.
A long-time fan of Hello Kitty, Onch has developed this 8-piece capsule collection in homage to the global pop icon. With a fun, edgy twist to the classic Hello Kitty style, the collection caters to the city girl, the girly girl, and everyone in between. Candy chrome red bow earrings, 14K gold plated medallion necklace and bracelet, and a multi-strand Hello Kitty & Dear Daniel glass pearl statement necklace are just a few of the pieces available. Retail prices will range from $54.00 for a pair of the candy chrome red bow earrings to $125.00 for the multi-strand glass pearl statement necklace. Each piece is 100% hand painted and handmade in Los Angeles.
Guests at the launch event can enjoy sweet treats provided by Pocky and photo opps with the iconic Hello Kitty
and Onch, himself. For a sneak peek at the collection, modeled by notable friends of Onch Movement, go to:facebook.com/onchmovement

Any Junkies going? =^_^=
I am super exited when I get Hello Kitty surprises through the mail from one of my online kittilicious friends! This time around, I was surprised by Amanda! She is totally into Gotochi Kitty charms, just like me! So when she told me she would personally hand make some jewelry — I felt soooo *special*… I mean, I just find the act so sweet — she was willing to take time out of her life to make something for me! <3 <3 <3
Amanda was so kind — she shared a couple of die cut Hello Kitty vinyl decals with me…
And Gotochi Kitty charms!!!
Handmade sea shells themes bracelet… Kawaii, neh!? My wrist is pretty big *big bones* 🙁 So it does not fit… Maybe I need to add a few more links…
So many kawaii charms! *______*
Definitely one of my *faves* because it is too adorable! n_n
I am also in love with Kitty-chan in her kimono blowing a bubble from the straw!
I adore the handmade earrings Amanda made me! Japanese theme + kimono + Kitty-chan + pink + crystals + custom + handmade + from Hello Kitty friend = *H-A-P-P-I-N-E-S-S* And that is what we are all trying to achieve some day… Right? n_~
Yes! I love my Hello Kitty treats from Amanda! And I even wear the earrings!
Domo arigato Amanda for all the kittilicious love and adding to my ever growing kawaii collection of Kitty charms!!! *____*
Just wanted to share a great example of Sanrio’s phrase, “Small gift, big smile!” I got a text message from a boy I am currently crushing on (I will refer to him as *B*),
I made u something
I was thinking, “Awww… *B* is so sweet…” because it obviously has to do with Hello Kitty! I think he printed out a Hello Kitty wallpaper and cut it to size… And wrote sweet nothings on the inside… I was somewhat surprised because he does not seem like an arts and crafts type of dude… Maybe he was bored? o_O Whatever the reason, I was cheesin for a couple of hours! Hopefully next time *B* can surprise me with a Hello Kitty plushie! *crosses fingers* ^_~
It’s awesome that something so little can bring so much happiness in my heart! And yes… I hope he reads this!
I found images and diagrams on how to make these cute Hello Kitty felt toys online so I decided to take a stab at making one (and for some strange reason, I cannot find the exact urls to share! Argh! I will keep looking and update if/wen I find them)…
I started with her face just in case I got lazy and did not want to finish the rest of her body…
Lol… I really like this image because it looks like she is holding her head…
One more foot to sew on!
Detail view of what the most difficult part for me was — adding the eyes, nose and whiskers — which were one of the first things I sewed on…
She came out ok for the first try. But if this was for a class/client, this is definitely a practice round and I would be improving on the final one…
She can take her bunny hoodie off when she feels like it…
I added a safety pin to her red bow because I was not sure how exactly to attach this part… So I compromised and came up with this option. Maybe I can even make different colored bows so she can accessorize!
Proof that sewing is not my strong point at all… And I wish I had thought to give her a cute little bunny tail! o_O Perhaps next time!
Any tips or suggestions on how to make felt toys would be very much appreciated… Like, “Hey — next time sew on the whiskers,” or “Why don’t you embroider the eyes and nose?” ^_^
A few people have showed me the Hello Kitty bong water pipe creation… Check out two-twenty. I don’t even know what to say about this… Would it be wrong for me to say it is cute? And if I was into 420, I would build my very own KT creation?
