The Sanrio Hello Kitty Pave Jewelry Cell Phone Charms have been available on Strapya-World for quite some time now… I know because I ordered one in pink and one in black last year. *I SO could not decide on which one I liked better.* Kawaii, neh? n___n
I *WAS* going to actually use them, but then I thought about it… And I would be so upset if one of the sparkley rhinestones fell off! o___O They are pretty tiny and more heavy than the usual charm… So I decided that these will be displayed on my bookcase. What do you think? Am I being overly cautious???
If you are signed up for the Sanrio newsletter or have been inside your local Sanrio shop, chance are, you have already seen the super-glam-girly-sparkly-pink 35th Anniversary Hello Kitty Collectible Coin Bank! There is a promotion going on right now in which you can score this coin bank for $19.99 (1/2 price) with any regular purchase over $40.00 (while supplies last)… Not so difficult to do for my Hello Kitty Junkies! n_~
Front and back…
Bling bling rhinestone detail of Kitty-chan’s bow! @_@
So cuuute! Maybe I should get two of them!? That way — I can save twice the amount of $$$$$!? o_O
Guess who finally completed her Hello Kitty deco-den iPhone project!? Total time was about three hours. I did not use any glue because the Hello Kitty Princess Decoden Perfect Kit I ordered from Strapya World came with a double sticky sided sheet. I was skeptical at first, but it is very sticky! The extra rhinestones, pearls and miniature sweets came in handy too. What do you think? n_n
Check out my awesome craftsmanship! I kid, I kid… n_~
I am pretty happy with the outcome and I am crossing my fingers that the crystals won’t fall off anytime soon!
I have mentioned it before to some of my friends (and even kittified my iPhone’s theme)… But this time, I am going to REALLY Hello Kittify my phone! ^_^ By now, everyone has heard of deco-den (or dekoden)… It has been super popular in Japan for years — every little thing gets decorated over there! Keitai (mobile phones), mirrors, business card holders, Nintendo DS systems, watches, keys, pens, lipsticks, lighter cases… Even nails! o_O It is extremely over-the-top GAUDY to the fullest! And I suppose that is why I love it so much! ^_^
I love the mix of crystal rhinestones, pearls, miniature sweets and all other *shiny*pretty*girly* things. Below is the Hello Kitty deco-den kit I recently ordered from Strapya World (which btw I have ordered from previously and is starting to become one of my favorite online shops)… I also managed to find a shop in LA that sold CHIARA items (not pictured below). Oh! And check out dekoden for some fantastic supplies!
And a few packets of rhinestones (pretty sure I will need more)…
Crea has tons of beautifully deco-ed out pieces that are so inspirational. These were some of my favorite designs:
I know what you’re thinking because it crosses my mind all the time — this is so not practical! But it sure is kawaii! Hopefully my kittified iPhone will look just as fabulous! And then, who knows!? Maybe I will deco-den my digital camera too! ^_^
Yesterday was Celina Rei‘s Birthday! (you can still wish her a Happy Bday because we will be celebrating at her favorite Korean BBQ restaurant this weekend)…
It was also my hang-out-with-Jessica-Letti-and-Lonnie-day — which means dim sum, boba, shopping, Hello Kitty sightings — similar to what happened last time we hung out in Downtown.
Lonnie’s Kitty radar was super strong that day! She spotted this pink blinged out phone before me, which I think might be a tad bit embarrassing, right? Anyway, I ran after the girl (actually, more like power walked, lol) and told her I love Hello Kitty and I need to take a picture of her sidekick… I wish I was paying more attention so I could have gotten a better shot that included the front of her charm also.
We also spotted the usual stuff that you expect to find in Downtown LA…
There are also a bunch of craft shops in the area. We found spots where you can get rhinestones and Swarovski crystals for a price that is pretty close to wholesale (depending on how much you buy and how sharp your bargaining skills are). Possibly another project to put on my list of to-do’s…
And I got two surprise treats in Chinatown yesterday! The first is this Sanrio capsule toy machine I found inside Lollicup on Hill Street. I know it is such a small thing to be happily surprised by, but I was!
Here is the mirror I got:
And the next surprise treat is… Hmmm… It is so special that it needs it’s own entry! ^_^
One of my favorite Hello Kitty purse I have. I got this from Momoberry at the Beverly Center. It is a small baby pink clutch in the shape of Hello Kitty’s bow. There are some pink rhinestones on the purse… the handle is made of small metal chain links… cute small little Hello Kitty metal charm… small compartment that will only fit the essentials…
